More about the site

  1. What countries do we cover?
We're confident we can show you clinics and hospitals in more countries than anyone else. Our directory covers six continents and almost one hundred countries worldwide, so wherever you are thinking of heading, we'll have the details of a treatment provider nearby.

  2. What treatments do we cover?
We include clinics and hospitals who specialise in all kinds of treatments, from the more common eye, dental and orthopaedic surgery, to cosmetic and elective procedures and even, alternative medicine, scans, wellness packages and medical spas. We don't pretend to feature every treatment under the sun, but our directory is getting larger and more varied every week. We also try to only include those clinics with an official recognised accreditation - and we list these on their profiles.

  3. Why should you use us?
Why be limited to your own country, when you can have the best of the rest of the world's healthcare? More and more people from all over the world are starting to choose medical treatment abroad for a variety of reasons. Our medical tourism guide is a good place to start for more information. If you are considering treatment abroad, YourSurgeryAbroad is a fantastic starting point for your research. Using us could save you money, time, frustration and give you easy access to some of the world's finest and most advanced clinics, hospitals and specialist treatments.

  4. Do you have to pay or register with us to use the site?
No. As everyone knows, the best things in life are free and here at YourSurgeryAbroad we don't charge visitors to use the website (and never will). Also, unlike some websites you don't have to register and give us your life history, email address and how many candles you had on your last birthday cake before you can start searching and contacting clinics. You can start right now!

  5. How are we funded?
We're funded by two ways. Firstly, advertising on our website (we put a little border around our ads so you know exactly what's an ad and what isn't) from companies who want to show you their products and services, and secondly, from hospitals and clinics who want to enhance the size and visibility of their profiles on our website.

  6. How accurate is the directory?
We've gone to great lengths to make sure the information on the hospitals and clinics you search is accurate, correct and up-to-date - so much so we routinely check everything. However, when you have details of thousands of clinics and hospitals worldwide it's impossible to keep an eye on every tiny change, straight away. So, it's always best to double check yourself, especially before you go ahead with any treatment.

  7. What's different about us?
Unlike some "similar" (and we use that term very loosely) medical directory websites we include clinics and hospitals for free, and we don't hide their profiles in the sleepy backwater areas of our website, or tuck them away so you won't find them.

We show all hospitals and clinics contact details and websites addresses on their profiles which means you don't have to go through a lengthy contact system to get in touch. You're always just a quick click away from contacting them yourself.

Plus we don't charge clinics and hospitals to see your emails - which mean they spend more of their money on treating their patients - clearly the way it should be.

Lastly and most importantly, we also don't take commission from any clinics or hospitals, which means our directory isn't biased, we don't encourage you to go to one clinic over another, and if you decide to sort out those nobbly knees once and for all, your hospital won't waste money paying us for your introduction...

  8. Think we can do something better?
We're always keen to hear from people who have used the website, or who have a great idea as to how we can make it better, or who have been abroad for medical treatment and have a story to tell us. Drop us an email to info@yoursurgeryabroad.com and we'll be back in touch just as soon as we can.
