Best time to travel

Being such a large and varied landscape, the weather also varies widely, although it does get quite cold in winter (December through to March) all over. But if you're a snow bunny then this may be the perfect time for you with countless quality ski resorts to choose from.

Money and costs

The national currency of Canada is the Canadian dollar (CAD, symbol C$). Find up-to-date exchange rates and conversion through a currency conversion tool.

Visas

Visas are not required by those from the USA, UK, Australia and much of Europe for visits of up to six months. However, for those non USA visitors, some nationalities may need to apply for a visa if also travelling to the USA and return to Canada within the period of their initial entry allowance.

Getting there

Canada has several major airports (13 to be precise) in all major parts of the country with direct flights from most parts of the world.
