Cuba is located in the Northwest Caribbean and has a population of 1.3 million people. The largest island in the Caribbean, Cuba has a culture of its very own and exciting nightlife in cities like Havana. Havana and Trinidad are both World Heritage Sites and thus are a true experience to wander through. The official language of Cuba is Spanish.

Best time to travel

Cuba's weather is hot sub-tropical all year round making any time a good time to visit. January through to April are the cooler months, and some hurricanes can occur during fall/autumn (August through to November).

Visas are required by tourists from the USA, Canada, UK, EU and Australia and are valid for up to 30 days. Tourists from the USA are also subject to the Cuban asset control regulations.

There are flights direct to Cuba from both the UK and North America, generally to Havana.
