The Dominican Republic is located in the Caribbean and has a population of 9.2 million people. The Dominican Republic shares its island location of Hispaniola with the colony of Haiti. The Dominican Republic is blessed with hot, tropical climate all year round with even warmer coastal regions. The heaviest rainfall is between May and August and November to December.
