Confederation of Indian Industry holds seminar on hospital accreditation

Wednesday, 8 July 2009

The Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) recently held a medical tourism seminar in New Delhi called "Accreditation of Hospitals". The seminar was designed to promote the importance of Indian hospitals receiving international accreditation to brand India as a top medical tourism destination. The CII emphasised the need for accreditation in all areas, including cleaning, quality of staff, employee qualification, expertise, and medical equipment. CII officials said they would support all hospitals looking to become accredited using guidance from the National Accreditation Board for Hospitals & Healthcare Providers, an Indian accreditation board.
