Panama is located in Central America and has a population of 3.2 million people. Famous for the Panama Canal which links North and South America, Panama is also home to green jungles filled with exotic wildlife and golden beaches. The official language of Panama is Spanish but English is also widely spoken.

Best time to travel

Panama is warm all year round. The dry season runs from mid-December to mid-April and is generally considered to be the best time to travel. However, even in the wet season is it rare to experience a full day of rain.

Visitors from the UK and most of the EU do not require a visa to enter Panama. Tourists from Australia, Canada and the USA will be issued a tourist care for stays of up to 30 days. Extensions for stays of up to 90 days can also be applied for.
