Qatar is a Persian Gulf country in the Middle East with a population of 885,000. Saudi Arabia is to Qatar’s south, and across the Persian Gulf to the north of Qatar is Iran. Much of Qatar is sand covered plains with the highest point being only 103 metres (340 feet) above sea level. Best time to travel

The Qatar climate is very warm in the summer months with high humidity. Temperatures average around 35 degrees Celsius (95 Fahrenheit) and often reach as high as 50 degrees Celsius (122 Fahrenheit). The winter months are much more mild and pleasant.
