Best time to travel

Russia is definitely a country of diversity. The best time to visit Russia is in summer (June, July and August) as the winters can be very cold.

Visas

Visas are required by most foreigners for entry to Russia. These vary depending on country of origin so be sure to contact the Russian embassy/consulate. Travelers staying in Russia for more than three working days must register their visa within three days of arrival with a local branch of the Ministry of the Interior. Visitors must have documented travel itineraries for the length of their stay.

Getting there

Obviously with the massive size of Russia there are many airports, however the most common points of entry are at Moscow Domodedovo Airport and St Petersburg.
