Switzerland

Switzerland is located in Western Europe and has a population of 7.5 million people. Best known for its magical mountain landscapes and its indulgent food, Switzerland is a modern and stylish destination. Whether it be enjoying the snow in winter with its top ski resorts or the shopping in one of the beautiful and historical cities, Switzerland has a lot to offer. A number of languages are spoken in Switzerland, with the east and centre speaking German, French in the west and Italian in the south. English is also widely spoken.

Best time to travel

Higher up in the Alps it can get quite cold in winter and has mild summers, the lower lands do get hotter in summer.

Tourist visas are not required by visitors from the USA, Canada, UK, most of Europe and Australia for stays of up to three months.
